(these are breakfasts we cook and serve to visitors traveling by bus on Family Express and visitors traveling privately. Everyone is welcome. Times and locations will be posted on our front page calendar)

Get Off The Bus Pit Stops

(these are rest stops scheduled on our front page calendar for the bus travelers to include refreshments, wash up facility, diaper changes and Grandma hugs)

Stay Connected Bags

(gift bags for visitors that include writing material, postage, snacks, kleenex, travel games, reading material, and more)

Granny Meals

(vouchers for Happy Meals and food at various venues along the route to the prison, and also for food inside the visiting room)

Happy Talks

Payments to MCI for 15 minute collect calls from Moms to kids

Thank you for helping us keep relationships alive as well as offer help and comfort to California’s Children of Hope! Your donations are what make it possible for children to stay in touch with and visit incarcerated parents and grandparents. A list of our current projects can be found to the left on this page, and you are welcome to designate your funds any way you wish. Non designated funds will go into the general fund to be used for the benefit of all the children. In all cases a minimum of 80% goes directly to the children and the agencies we support. 20% or less is used for administrative expenses. We make every effort to be good stewards and keep administrative costs down.Your donations are tax deductible and an annual accounting will be available on this website at the close of each calendar year. We know there are many worthy causes out there, so we deeply appreciate your support. We depend completely on private donations and could not operate without you. Grandmothers of the Light, Inc. is highly sensitive to the privacy interests of consumers and believes that the protection of those interests is one of its most significant responsibilities.
